Trainees of the Nations builders Corp is yet to smile after a longtime as management of the scheme is about to effect payment of stipends for three months.
The first cohorts of the Nabco trainees had their contract expiring on October 202, but the government asked them to remain at post as government find ways of paying their overdue allowances and to find them an exist pathway.
But after three months of this directive, trainees are yet to receive their allowance from September to date.
There has been a lots of agitations from trainees demanding their allowance but government has not been able to give trainees when they will pay them, for which reason the minister for information stated that he couldn’t confirm when they will pay them
But our source within the schemes shows that the scheme has secured funds to pay trainees for three months arrears.
The payment which will begin from paying the Heal Ghana trainees first, followed by Educate Ghana trainees and the rest in batches is expected to start in February 2022.
