The Harvest Accra, Accra’s Finest Sunday Buffet Restaurant, Marks World Food Safety Day

On World Food Safety Day, The Harvest Accra, Ghana’s finest Sunday Buffet and à la carte restaurant in Accra, wishes to encourage Ghanaians to be conscious of what and where they eat.

Marked annually every June 7th, World Food Safety Day draws global attention to the consequences of contaminated food and water on health. Food contamination remains a critical public health challenge, especially for developing economies such as Ghana. With advancements in technology, one would have thought that Ghana and the rest of the continent would be insulated from this risk. However, the contrary is the issue.

Reports of instances of food poisoning and its debilitating consequences, including loss of lives and businesses, continue unabated. A case in point is the Daily Graphic’s recent news item, titled ‘Waakye Kills 5: Suspected Food Poisoning, 40 Others Affected’. Other several instances prevail unreported and unaccounted for.

This trend cannot be allowed to fester if we are committed to meeting Sustainable Development Goal 3, which focuses on good health and well-being. As a brand committed to promoting a healthy diet, family, and communal living, we take matters of food safety seriously. Aside from providing a clean and safe ambiance for dining, we also go to every length to ensure that our food is prepared to the highest standards.

Our commitment to not compromise on any quality standards has paid off, as we continue to grow by leaps and bounds in terms of patronage, referrals, and positive reviews. This piece is therefore consistent with our avowed commitment to support the global agenda of promoting healthy living through food and water. Happy World Food Safety Day.

The Harvest Accra is on the same premises as Action Chapel International, Spintex.
