Mobile Money merchant shot at Sawla-Tuna-Kalba

Some suspected armed robbers on the night of Saturday March 26, 2022, have shot a Mobile Money attendant at Sawla-Tuna-Kalba in the Savannah Region of Ghana.

According to the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba District Police Commander, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Paul Lambert in an interview with Graphic online, the incident occurred at about 8 pm on Saturday whiles the victim (Abdul Razak) was at his shop when the unknown gunmen said to operate with a motorbike, went to the victim’s shop, attacked him and bolted with all his money.

The victim is however reportedly shot in the head and he is in critical condition whilst receiving treatment at the Sawla government hospital.

Meanwhile, eyewitnesses have said that this is the second time in five months a Mobile Money merchant has been attacked in the Sawla township.

The police has however started investigations into the matter to arrest the said perpetrators.
