Barker Vormawor thrown out of court by judge

#FixTheCountry Convener, Oliver Barker Vormawor, was on today, February 28, 2022, thrown out of Ashiaman District Court room after a heated argument emerged between him and the judge(Her Honor Eleanor Barnes) presiding over his case.

During the proceedings, Justice Srem Sai sought an inquiry on the court’s authority to deal with matters affecting the liberty of the convenor. But the State Prosecutor ASP Sylvester Asare responded by stating that the court was the right medium to channel such matters to because of the level of the victim’s offence.

The Magistrate however reminded Barker Vormawor’s legal team that she had earlier ruled that the appropriate forum for requesting bail was the High Court.

The convenor then shouted from a distance, “We have not asked for bail”.

The Magistrate then asked him to remain silent while some officers moved towards him to also calm him down but he refused, adding that, “We have not asked for bail. This is a kangaroo process. The bench has not covered itself in glory. I am not going to glorify a sham”, Myjoyonline quoted him.

Aside the Magistrate efforts to stop the accused from speaking, he yielded out again saying, “This process is a sham”.

The Magistrate however ordered for his removal from court and warned not to be allowed in court except his lawyer if he continue to attack the court.

He is however expected to reappear in court on March 15, 2022.
