Ghanaians Resist ‘Strange’ Street Naming.

Ghana’s ongoing street naming exercise has been hit with a lot of criticisms that point to inefficiencies and inconsistencies in the exercise.

A number of issues have been raised by traditional leaders and residents in the various communities such as the use of alien names, the use of two different street names on adjoining properties, and the replacement of common and already-existing street names without consultation.

The people of Drobo Traditional Council in the Jaman South Municipal of the Bono Region says that the street names in the area were imposed on them.

When the topic was brought up for discussion on Citi tv, it clearly indicated that many others had concerns about the exercise.

Many other concerned citizens expressed their opinions and concerns about the ongoing exercise on Twitter respectively.
