Pupils at Apiate can not wait to return to school a week after the explosion ravage their entire community and the school children shared how eager they are to return to school to continue their studies.
It’s been exactly one week since the Apiate explosion, seventeen lives has so far been lost in the blast , hundrends displayed. The fatal incident has not only caused economic impact to residents but affected education of school going children in the community.
For one week now, the children have not been able to go to school. These young ones lamented that since the explosion incident, they have never been able to return to school.
The pupils therefore called on the government and private organizations to come to their aid to enable them return to school to continue their studies.
The Municipal Chief Executive of Prestea winey valley, says that arrangements are being made to ensure these children return to school. “There are a lot of children among them, so what I’m doing right now is to ensure that once they get there, we start registering them by close of the week, by Sunday 30, January, 2022, they will know their classes and I have discussed that with the education director. We will provide them with school uniforms and make buses available to carry them from home to school” he added.
