The Covid-19 pandemic is far from over and efforts are still being made by the Ministry of Health to ensure people get vaccinated.
The national vaccination policy has therefore been reviewed to include booster doses and the vaccination of pregnant women.
The pregnant women are either to receive Moderna or Pfizer vaccines.
The Health minister said “we have reviewed the national vaccination policy to include booster doses and the vaccination of pregnant women”
He further stated that, “the National Immunization Technical Advisory Group (NITAG) proposed the update made today, which has been accepted for implementation. We will continue to ensure the safety and health of all Ghanaians”
Ghana’s Covid-19 cases currently stands at 154,614 with 146,489 recoveries and 1,354 deaths.
