The Black Stars of Ghana have exited the ongoing 2021 AFCON in Cameroon after losing 3-2 to Comoros in their last group game.
This makes it the first time Ghana is exiting the AFCON in the group stage since the 2006 AFCON held in Egypt.
The Stars lost their first group games against the Atlas of Lions of Morocco and drew 1 all against Gabon in their second group game.
This is the most disastrous AFCON campaign by the four time African Champions who are looking for a fifth continental trophy after their last triumph fourty years ago.
Ghana exits with just a point they earned in a pulsating one all drawn game against Gabon.
Ghana is however hoping to qualify for the world cup in Qatar this year as they await CAF to announce their opponents for the playoffs.
