Residents of Festus near Amasaman in the Ga West Municipality of the Greater Accra region are calling for the immediate relocation of a gas Filling Station to prevent any explosion.
According to the residents, the gas filling station is very close to their houses and explosions are highly possible which will destroy their properties and can also lead to the loss of lives.
One of the residents who spoke on anonymity, explained that they have pleaded with the owners of the gas Filing Station to relocate but to no avail.
“We are living in fear, because our houses and church buildings are very close to the filling Station and we can not continue to live in fear, we want the filling Station relocated “.
Another aggrieved resident added that “This gas filing Station has been here for years, all our efforts for it to be relocated have been in vain, we are pleading with the government to intervene with immediate effect “.
The residents lamented that they can not even relax and sleep due to fear of possible explosions , “we will be glad to see the gas filling station relocated to curb any explosion that will lead to the loss of valuable lives and properties” they stated.
