The Accra High Court Labour Court 1, has after a suit filed by the National Labour Commission asking them to enforce UTAG to call off its strike, ordered the University Teachers Association (UTAG) to call off its strike as soon as possible.
UTAG embarked on a strike on January 10, 2022 because according to them, the government has failed to review their conditions of service since 2017 and has asked the government to also restore their conditions of service agreed upon in 2012.
Meanwhile, the Accra High Court Labour Court 1 has therefore scheduled February 22, 2022, to hear on the legality of UTAG’s strike action.
