#FixTheCountry campaigner Oliver Mawuse Barker-Vormawor has been charged with treason felony by the Ashiaman District Court on Monday, February 14th, 2022.
His charge comes after he was arrested on Friday, February 11, 2022 at the Kotoka International Airport by the Tema Regional Police Command after he has arrived from London for posting on his Facebook wall that if the President force the passage of the E-levy bill which is intended to devide the country into two, he will personally lead a coup d’etat in Ghana.
Meanwhile, Presiding judge Her Honour Eleanor Barnes has denied him bail due to the nature of his offence and has therefore directed access to his family and lawyer between 10:00am and 4:00pm each day for the next two weeks.
He is however expected to appear before court on February 28, 2022.
