The Ghana Chinese News organized a programme to bring together the Chinese community and other Chinese sister companies in Ghana to celebrate the Chinese New Year at TIAST Club House 1, Canwin Hotel on 30th January, 2022.
According to sources, the Chinese New Year is the festival that celebrates the beginning of a new year on the traditional lunisolar and solar Chinese calendar thus the need to organize this festival for the Chinese companies in Ghana.
The celebration witnessed the attendance of about twelve (12) Chinese companies and some Ghanaian companies having their businesses and investments in Ghana. TIAST West Africa Company Limited, Access Bank, Honghai House Ghana Limited, Hac Xin Quarry, RongBin Logistics, Ghana GD-HK-MO Greater Bay Area, Chamber of Commerce and other sister Chinese companies were some of the companies present at the celebration.
TIAST West Africa Company Limited being one of the sponsors of the celebration was present to celebrate the event together with other staff, members and partners of the Chinese companies.
During the event, there were series of performances from local indigenes and the Chinese people present. Gifts were presented to people who participated in the various games that were introduced. Some participants won home appliances, home furniture, iPhone 13, cash prices and other worthy items. Almost all the people present at the celebration had some gifts presented to them before departing to their various homes.
Also, there were some fun activities such as Karaoke, dancing, Chinese performances, cultural performance from a Ghanaian cultural troop, dinning together in groups, among other fun activities.
The closing prayer was said by the Chaplain of TIAST Ghana and the Resident Pastor of the Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC), Kokomlemle, Pastor Kingsley Addai around 3:30 pm.
