UTAG, CETAG Strike Hitting Hard.

University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG) and the Colleges of Education Teachers Association of Ghana (CETAG) strike still hitting hard since it appears there is no end as strike enters third week today.

UTAG, CETAG are demanding better conditions of service from the government and an order from the National Labour Commision for them to resume work was ignored as teachers insist on their demands.

NLC has left helpless and looking forward to Administrators, Vice Chancellors of the various public universities to these teachers back to the classrooms but this wasn’t fruitful as the the last meeting between UTAG and vice Chancellors Ghana ended without a resolution last Thursday.

Meanwhile, students are left stranded on various campuses as the academic calender remains untouched. Students still waiting to see government resolve the lecturer’s concerns to call off strike.
