In a remarkable display of commitment to community development and empowerment, the Ayawaso East Municipal Assembly has pledged its support to the upcoming Empower-thon-gh project. Spearheaded by Queen Fatima Zahra Hassan, CEO and Artistic Director of Modara Jadore Cosmetics, this initiative aims to empower 300 unemployed individuals within the community, promising a transformative impact.
The momentum of this ambitious project received a significant boost following a productive meeting between Queen Fatima Zahra and Madam Salma Sani Kuta, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Ayawaso East.
Discussions during the visit centered on the profound impact the Empower-thon-gh project is poised to make. Despite the recent setback of not being recognized by Guinness World Records, the team remains steadfast in their mission. Queen Fatima Zahra emphasized the essence of empowerment initiatives, stressing that they should enrich lives rather than merely pursue world records.
Madam Salma lauded the resilience of the Empower-thon-gh team and offered Montreal Park as the venue for the three-day event. This strategic decision ensures accessibility and centrality for all participants, reflecting the Municipal Assembly’s dedication to facilitating such impactful endeavors.
“The project goes beyond mere numbers; it’s about fostering sustainable change within our communities,” remarked Hajia Salma Sani Kuta, underlining the crucial role initiatives like Empower-thon-gh play in nurturing resilient communities where everyone can contribute meaningfully.
