The Managing Director of the Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) Yaw Kwakwa has been shown the exit.
In a letter sighted by thenewgh.com and signed by the Transport Minister, Kweku Ofori Asiamah, the MD has been told his appointment has been terminated.
No reasons were stated for the termination of the appointment.
It would be recalled that the MD recently had a cause to write to the McDan Group on the occasion of the launch of the new Airport Private Jet Terminal. In the said letter, it was stated the GACL was not aware of the construction of the said terminal and also it could have security implications.
GACL’s letter led to the McDan Group suspending its operations to further engage and find a solution to the impasse.
Some Ghanaians are of the belief that the sacking of Mr. Yaw Kwakwa is as a result of the brouhaha between the GACL and the McDan Group though no reasons were stated.
