Four students of the Ejisu Senior High Technical school are currently on the police wanted list after the attack on three students. Two are already in the police custody assisting in investigations.
Students of the Ejisu Senior High Technical School have been attacked in a spate of one week. The unfortunate development has heightened security concerns in the area.
On Thursday, at a town hall meeting between the Municipal security council and students, it was revealed that some of students could be behind the attacks.
The District Police Commander Superintendent Frederick Lumor said that they are working around the clock to bring the perpetrators to book.
A worried Municipal Education director Kwabena Owusu said such acts could undermine the government’s Free Senior High School Program.
“It is good to allow our children to be in boarding houses and to have free education but when you behave the other way, it will send signals around that after all, we should cancel the Free Senior high Education because the behavior of the students are not pretty good to write home about”.
The police pledged to heighten security whiles students on their wanted list are being pursued.
