The President of the Republic of Ghana supports Apiatse explosion victims with 100,000K yesterday to help relief the affected residents in the area.
According to the President, this is a way to assist the Apiatse residents in this difficult time. He therefore assured the victims that the government will do its best to stand by the people of Apiatse and put smile on their faces.
“I must say that I am very impressed with the work of the Chair, we should not just build but use it to create some sort of a village module or a small town going down the line for the people to see how the future is going to look like and how the future should look like”.
“We honestly have to focus on the whole issue of safety of all the people in mining communities and in the mining sector which on the table and will come in a way from me, in many cases reforms this is how it happens, when an incident like this happens we go for some senior reputes of safety measures following the discourse in the news papers we are hearing, sometimes you the Chiefs saying for instance these people need police escorts or something like that.”
“But I don’t know and think that this produces an opportunity to look at the whole framework, focusing on safety as far as mining activities and the development of the mining sector is concerned and I have my witness of hundrend thousand cedis to support the people of Apiatse.”
