The general secretary for UTAG in the University of Ghana, Professor Ransford Gyampo has said in an interview with Yaa Kranmah of UTV has stated categorically that lecturers will not attend to students until their demands are met.
He therefore added that the government can employ new lecturers to go and teach at the various public universities. “We don’t care if the government will employ new lecturers or not, so long as our demands for better conditions of service are still not resolved, they are not ready to go back to the lecture halls”.
The University Teachers Association of Ghana is on strike in the last three weeks to demand for a better condition of service for its members from the government
