Former Black Stars Captain Asamoah Gyan expressed disappointment after the 1-1 draw with Gabon last Friday in the ongoing AFCON tournament in Cameroon.
“We deserve the points, but we lost a bit of concentration and we conceded a goal and as my brother said, we can not keep conceding a goal at the latter stages of the game’’.
“I think that Iddrisu’s injury was a big blow for Ghana because he left you could see that equilibrium, everything changed and the style of play changed ‘’ he added.
“We should have brought in two offensive midfielders to be able to chill the game, I think we sat back too much, we were defending too much, we were in control over the game, you can not sit back when you are in control over the game, you have try and kill the game because the Gabonese went that dangerous , we could have moved forward and get a goal but we sat back and conceded a goal, we should have won this game but this is football, let’s see what happens in the next game” he further stated.
‘’ Let’s just go in with our heads up, and hopefully, something positive is going to come up’’.
The former Captain therefore urge Ghanaians not to loose hope in the Black Stars because he still believe something great will pop up.
