COP Maame Tiwaa Addo-Danquah appointed as the new EOCO Executive Director

COP Maame Tiwaa Addo-Danqua, former Criminal Investigation Department (CID) boss, has been appointed as the new Executive Director of the Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO).

She takes over from Steve Raymond Dapaa-Addo who took office on July 5 2021.

Prior to her appointment, COP Maame Tiwaa Addo-Danquah was the former Director-General, Police Professional and Standards Bureau (PPSB) of the Ghana Police Service.

Her appointment takes effect from Monday, January 10 2022 as per the letter from the Chief of Staff.

COP Maame Tiwaa Addo-Danquah has held various positions in the Police service since she was recruited into the service on July 27 1990. She is noted for being the first woman Commandant of the Ghana Police Command and Staff College (PCSC) in Winneba.

She came under a lot of flak in 2021 for her handling of the kidnapping of the four Takoradi girls when she said she knew the whereabouts of the girls. They were later found to be dead after a forensic and DNA test of their skeletal remains.
