Government has been able to raise only $2 million dollars instead of $25 million dollars targeted for the African Cup of Nations 2021 preparations.
Mustapha Ussif, the Sports Minister revealed on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 the amount raised on the floor of parliament.
The Minister therefore implored corporate bodies to come the aid of the Black Stars to ensure a smooth tournament ahead of the team.
He also asked Ghanaians to do away political affiliations and support the Black Stars.
He added that the Sports Ministry have been soliciting for funds to help the preparations of the national team and had targeted $25 million World Cup Qualifiers and Nations Cup.
The team will begin camping on December 22 in Qatar and has lined up three friendly matches against the African Champions Algeria.
