Former Minister of Transport died early yesterday after a short illness according to her family.
Hon Dzifa Attivor was first appointed into public office as a Deputy Minister of Transport by the late Professor John Evans Atta Mills and later promoted by the former President John Dramani Mahama as the Minister of Transport from 2012 to 2015.
She later resigned due to the infamous bus branding saga where she was accused of coursing financial loss to the state as she award GH₵3.6 million contract to Smarttys Production in the re-branding of 116 Metro Transit buses that year.
Madam Attivor joined the chairmanship race later in the Volta Region and lost the election to incumbent John Kudzo Gyapong in 2018.
She had a decade earlier lost to Emmanuel Kwasi Bedzra when she contested the Ho West Parliamentary Primaries of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Madam Dzifa Attivor died at 65 her funeral arrangements will be announced soon said the family.
