The Mother of All Nations Foundation has it first time engaged professionals to have a read with its kids in this year’s edition of ReadCamp 2021 in Accra today, 24th August 2021.
The project which started in 10th August and ends in 27th August saw some professionals like Journalists, Lawyers, professional teachers, lecturers etc who engaged the kids and assisted them in their reading project at Madina Zongo in the Mother of All Nations school.
In an interview with the coordinator for this year’s ReadCamp 2021, Hawa Tasala Compare Gariba, 300 children were engaged in this year’s project with 30 volunteers assisting.
ReadCamp is an out of campus literacy project which is organized by the Mother of All Nations Foundation a Non-Governmental Organization based in Accra. It is designed to improve the reading and creative writing skills of young learners in both primary and JHS in some selected communities in the Greater Accra and Ashanti regions of Ghana. Since its inception in 2015, the project has touched the lives of over 6000 young learners with its structured and well-tailored reading models.
